Hello Dear One,
My friend, Lisa Hussan, recently shared with me about her month long missionary trip to China this past summer. She shared her pictures and stories with me…many heartfelt and many horrific. For a long time now I remember hearing about the “one child policy” in China, and that Chinese girls, or women for that matter, were not held in high esteem in China, but, until Lisa shared her stories with me, I had no idea to what extent the girls are undervalued. Lisa told me she could not count the number of women who tried to give her their baby girls, “Take my baby to America!” they would plead. One day Lisa took a walk by the Yellow River, and saw with her own eyes, a dead baby girl floating downstream. When she ran back and reported this to her guide, he said, “The River is full of them…nobody wants the baby girls here.”
I was shocked and deeply disturbed by this, haunted by a feeling of, “Something has to be done!” The quote from the bible resonated through my brain, “To the one in whom much has been given, much is expected.” But, what??? What can I do, what can we do??? There is so much of this kind of thing happening allover the world, Afghanistan, Africa, India, Pakistan…
As most of you know, I wrote a book entitled, “Discover Your Inner Goddess Queen” and I facilitate Goddess Queen Gatherings. Obviously, women’s empowerment is a subject very close to my heart. For the past couple months, I’ve been sitting in the question: what to do? I’ve heard that The Chinese Government has begun to launch campaigns that emphasize the important status of women in Chinese Society to begin to counterbalance the problem. What campaigns? I don’t know. What should we, I do? I don’t know. One thing I do know is that getting the information “out there” and of course prayer is a first step.
Before you read the articles I’ve attached, please join with me in knowing that while God is all there is, that means, that, regardless of appearances, Divine power is everywhere, in everything, all the time, right here, right now…that means that this power of love, healing, transformation, peace, and well-being is happening everywhere…here in the US, in China, in Africa, Iraq, Israel, India, Afghanistan, Africa, everywhere…in this very space where I am, and it is in the very place where you are…I know that the realization of the value, worth, and purpose for EVERY LIFE…male, female, black, white, yellow, brown or red…all babies, all women and men of every creed, nation, race, is taking place now…for all people everywhere…I call upon the higher consciousness of the people in particular, positions of power in this world, and in particular the Chinese government, and all political offices, and each and every citizen of China, that realizes this inherent value and respect, for the baby girls and women of any age. Realizing that women and girls have an important role in society, lessons to teach, nurturing, intuition, loving, grace, beauty and the ability to bring pride and honor to their families…that without them, society becomes lopsided, out of balance, and…well that Yang without the Yin cannot last. Let’s affirm that balance, love, healing, forgiveness, and a transformational paradigm shift is taking place now! I give thanks for the reality of this prayer, for the healing that is already taking place, and the visible, tangible solutions that are already making themselves evident. I release this prayer unto the law of spirit, knowing that it is already realized in Divine Mind…for the highest will of all. And so it is. Amen.
